Attorney at Law

who we are

Attorney Jeff Bodie

Mary hails from the sticks of Michigan by way of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New York.

In Michigan, Mary worked as a Morning Show Producer with ‘I Heart Radio’ in Grand Rapids.  After attaining a Bachelors and Masters degrees, Mary gravitated toward teaching college and put radio to a part-time habit.  She taught Mass Media, Public Speaking, and Interpersonal Communications.

It was during her graduate studies that Mary became interested in Intellectual Property law.  She attended Western Michigan School of Law on the weekends while teaching and producing.

Mary moved to New York in 2013 and graduated with a J.D. in 2014.  After spending two years bouncing around the legal scene in the city that never sleeps, Mary took some time off to pursue a different direction and found herself managing a Brewery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

She moved to Portland in 2016 and worked in service, managing a bar.  She was ready to return to the stacks and joined the law office in February of 2017.

Intellectual Property law drew Mary into the legal fold, beginning with the burgeoning debate over Net Neutrality in the early 2000’s.  While researching IP in law school, she became interested in tax law and found a home among the Treasury Regs and private letter rulings.

Mary is an avid reader, runner, hiker, and climber; usually enjoying all four of these activities in the best place to do so: the Pacific Northwest.
